At VAST Mental Health & Wellness, we believe in a patient-centered approach to mental health care. We take the time to listen to our patients and work collaboratively with them to develop a treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and goals.

Dr. Vasthie Arteaga (M.D.) is double board-certified physician psychiatrist with experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions including, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, as well as issues affecting women such as fertility challenges, post-partum depression and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
Her focus in psychosomatic medicine means that she has additional experience in ruling out medical causes that could be contributing to your psychiatric symptoms. Additionally, she has a particular interest in guiding patients through interpersonal problems/ stress often encountered by work professionals and students at the graduate level.
She is overall committed to providing compassionate care and ongoing support to her patients.

We currently offer medication management (intermixed with supportive and cognitive behavioral therapy concepts). We offer both in-person and tele-psychiatry visits for your convenience.

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to: anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD related anxiety/mood changes, PTSD nightmares, adjustment disorders, issues affecting women's health, work stress and more.
The cost of treatment at VAST Mental Health & Wellness varies depending on type of insurance vs private pay. For private pay we offer competitive rates for quality service where you will receive attentive care that is not rushed. We also accept most insurances (if your insurance is not accepted you can request a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement).

**DISCOUNTED private pay PRICING available for PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS (ie. medical students, residents, other graduate students/ college students):
Insurance Pay: We currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford affiliates and United Healthcare Insurance. Insurance coverage may vary. Contact your insurance provider regarding coverage of services. For patients interested in being seen under their insurance we work through Headway. - Must be seen In-Person (at least periodically) if on controlled medications.
- Additionally, we are unable to accept patients who are part of Medicare/ Medicaid at this time.
- Accepting patients ages 18yo and older.
We do offer a reduced fee for graduate/ professional students (if not under insurance) who show proof of current enrollment such as as current student ID.
